Do you have a friend you haven't contacted in a while? Do you know someone going through tough times? Just want to let someone close to you know that you appreciate them?

It only takes a moment these days to let somebody know you care.  If you don't have time to make a phone call there are other options, and the important part of this endeavor is the thought behind it! 

If you don't have time to make a call why not text, Facebook,  or email? There's also the option of writing your thoughts and mailing them. People still enjoy getting a nice card in the mail!

It only takes a moment to make somebody's day!

Why Tuesday?

Tuesday is really the day of the week that is not branded. Sunday: last day of the weekend or Holy day, Monday: beginning of the week, Wednesday: mid-week, Thursday: end of the week for some and weekend eve for others, Friday: T.G.I.F. Saturday: THE weekend. That leaves Tuesdays... hmmm. That LEAVES Tuesdays!!!! What could Tuesday be? Oh the possibilities! Tuesday could become the "try a new coffee flavor" day, "comfy shoe" day, "no negative thoughts" day, "warm smile" day, or even "gaze at the stars" day. With so many options there really is no reason to settle on one! Let's just call Tuesdays "take a moment" day.

So, get inspired and take a moment today. After all, it's Tuesday!

This "take a moment" Tuesday was a community focus.

Our local Food Bank has been hit hard recently with needs.

So, we took the time to help out.

 

You can look up your county Food Bank and ask where the nearest donation spot is.

Also, some churches have Food Banks and accept public donations. 

It doesn't take much time or money to help out.  Basic canned goods and cereal are in great need.

You can usually find extra canned goods in your own pantry!

Take a moment to help next Tuesday!

Breath of Fresh... getaways

I Just got back from a weekend away.  It was delightful.

I got to spend the weekend at a Bed and Breakfast in the country.  

The area and accommodations were so charming, beautiful and renewing.

Sometimes you just need to take a moment to get out of the everyday cycle, take a breath, and look at the big picture.

 From time to time the day to day can cloud our view and it takes a break in the pattern to get a new perspective.

It's amazing what just a day or two away from the norm will do!

  This is simply one option to help you re-boot!

And more ahhh...

This was

Brighten Someone's Day

Tuesday!

My co-worker/friend and I decided to brighten our receptionists day.

She has come through some hard times and we wanted to surprise her.

There were 3 gifts given in 3 phases.

1st phase was given as we entered the office.

Roses

& Lotion

2nd phase was given in the afternoon.

She loves popcorn!

3rd phase was given an hour before closing.

Sparkling Strawberry to end the day.

With tears in her eyes, and a hug she thanked us for making her day.

It was really nice to do something for someone else.  It brightened our day as much as it did hers.

So, next Tuesday... why not take a moment to brighten someone's day!

Expand Your Vernacular Tuesday!

We decided to find a word new to us and use it throughout the day.

The word of choice was:

Blithe:

joyous, merry, glad, cheerful.

blithely, blitheness

"My how your blitheness brightens the day!"

"Ahhh, how the smell of chocolate does bring a blithe aroma to the room."

"I shall dance a blithely step!"

Of course, you do not have to speak as though you are in a Jane Austen novel, but there's no harm in that either!!

You can always take a moment to broaden your vocabulary horizon!

Fedora Tuesday!

 

We broadened our accessory repertoire, donned our Fedoras and had more than a moment... it was the whole day.  

 

Tuesday, the un-branded day.  

The day of possibilities and options.

Sure, it may seem simple, and to some silly.

But why not think outside of the box called the "daily grind"?  

It only takes a moment to make a moment!
